Product Description

Product Description
Third of the thrilling fantasy adventure series, THE SEVENTH TOWER, from international bestselling author, Garth Nix. The dream world Aenir is not a safe place. One wrong step can lead to danger, entrapment! or death. Tal and Milla continue on their quest together, travelling to the magical land. There they must find the Codex, a mysterious book that details the entire history of their Dark World and will ultimately decide their fate. It is an almost impossible task. In addition to the spells and curses that permeate Aenir, there are evil powers that do not want Tal and Milla to succeed and they will stop at nothing to see that they do not!

About the Author
Garth Nix was born in 1963 in Melbourne, Australia, to the sound of the Salvation Army band outside playing'Hail the Conquering Hero Comes' or possibly'Roll Out the Barrel'. Garth left Melbourne at an early age for Canberra (the federal capital) and stayed there till he was nineteen, when he left to drive around the UK in a beat-up Austin with a boot full of books and a Silver-Reed typewriter.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Great Read, 9 Jan 2001
By A Customer
This review is from: Aenir (Seventh Tower) (Paperback)
Tal and Mira continue their quest together although they have very different agendas. Two powerful shadow creatures have joined them although this seems to have destroyed Mira's chances of fulfilling her ambitions. I like Garth Nix's writing style it's not stilted like so many fantasy books. However I was not so happy with the presence of the magical quest object which is an unnecessary convention for such an imaginative author.

5.0 out of 5 stars Loving the series, 22 May 2009
By Bobbins (London, UK) - See all my reviews
Loving the Seventh Tower series - the only draw back being that they're too short and having to wait a couple of months for the next one to be published. If you're a fan of Garth Nix don't be put by the fact that they are short, they are vivid and exciting, and will just make you appreciate the next chapter when it's released - roll on June.

4.0 out of 5 stars Like a fine wine...., 5 May 2009
...It has only improved with age. while no real improvement on the original 2001 Release. the continuation of Tal and Milla's journey through Garth Nix's universe seems much more exiting this time round.

then there's the 'face in the lake' cover art this bizarre image sets it apart from the ever more minimalist covers that surround it. This is also a good representation of the surreal world it contains. everything about it is a change of pace, or rather a welcome return to a familiar one.

whilst all Nix fans should give it a go, it is a must read for those of you who enjoyed the Old Kingdom series (Sabriel and it's sequels).
