5.0 out of 5 stars Film Festival Favorite 30 Sep 2012
By Twinkie's Mom - Published on Amazon.com
Format:DVD
Being Bill Plympton fans, my husband and I were excited when we saw that this film was going to be playing at the Tri-State film festival. It exceeded our expectations. The interviews were fun and informative, and the clips from the films just added to our enjoyment. This is a must-see for any fan of Bill Plympton.

5.0 out of 5 stars An amazing documentary! 15 Sep 2012
By Jim Lujan - Published on Amazon.com
Format:DVD
I've shown this film to people who had never even seen Bill Plympton's cartoons. Everyone agrees, it's really entertaining. Not only was this film put together with style, the substance within it is very informative. There are no "dead spots". It moves along at a great pace and you learn something new about Bill's interesting life at each turn. This film is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED for anyone interested in learning what goes on in the mind of a creative genius. If you are a filmmaker yourself, you really need to check it out. You'll find yourself refreshed and motivated watching Plympton's own "do it my way" independent attitude. Great stuff and a really funny piece of work (both the film AND Bill Plympton)!

A must see!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great for Plympton lovers old and new! 8 Dec 2012
By SL - Published on Amazon.com
Format:DVD
'Adventures in Plymptoons' is a wonderfully comic and intelligent look at the life and work of famous independent animator Bill Plympton. It perfectly paints a picture of the artist and his work through poignant and often cheeky interviews with Bill and people who were and are still important in his life, interspersed with clips of some of his famous films. I also enjoyed the great indie music score that served the film well. Since then, I have purchased more of Bill's DVD's, and look forward to more from the talented producer and director Alexia Anastasio and her team!

5.0 out of 5 stars A satisfying adventure! 7 Oct 2013
By Jobar - Published on Amazon.com
Format:DVD
As an amateur animator, I enjoyed this film so much! The personal and warm relationship between Mr Plympton and the director is apparent as she draws us casually yet vividly into his mind and world! The interviews are funny. The cuts between the interviews and the cartoons are often downright brilliant. Anyone who wants to understand the history of animation in the USA and the future of animation needs to see this film. I highly recommend it!

5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome. Unconventional. 7 Oct 2013
By Yasmine Khater - Published on Amazon.com
Format:DVD
I don't know anything about Plymptoons, but was recommended to watch it because it was Oscar nominated. Bill Plympton is a surrealist, eccentric, unconventional. Alexia was able to tell his story so well about a man who followed his dream, lived by his principles sometimes giving up millions.

I'm so inspired by this doco!
