What an idea! A doll and rabbit that kids can talk too!
When I heard that the author Emelia Hardy who had written "Why Daddy, Why? had written another book, I just had to have it. " The Adventures of Maureen & Maury " is written for children of all ages and was something that I thought would benifit my grandchildren and great grandchildren. After reading a couple of chapters and seeing the cartoon sketches drawn for each chapter, I was very much amazed. So on I went with my reading. I asked myself where did these ideas come from but then again I remember the things that this author went through herself with her family that she wrote about in Why Daddy, Why?..I soon realized that who better to write about every day problems that children face then someone who's been there. So I would have to say, with Emelia being a mother was only to well experienced from her own life to be able to help her children. So all you mother's, stay at home dad's, grandmothers, great grandmothers and aunts. If you have children in your family, I really think these children would enjoy these stories in this book. This doll, Maureen, and rabbit, Maury, can bring on a special,one on one felling with the kids. These magical characters are a joy to read about. It reads well, it covers lots of different problem spots that children face and it's just great! I admire her for putting her time in writing this book and I see where Emelia put an email address and post office address for the children or there parents to write to the charters themselves.
A very good book on learning how to deal with little problems, so get The Adventures of Maureen & Maury and be a part of the next adventure book that will come out in the future, It also contains lots of funny moments between the doll and rabbit..14 different stories, all intriguing!
I rated this book a 5 but I wish I could give it more!This book would make a wonderful Christmas present for the children!

Heartwarming tales

These magical tales about a doll and bunny rabbit are heartwarming! They are not just entertaining stories, but written with a view to helping many unfortunate and abused children, who are invited to write to these two loveable characters and tell them about their own plights and ask for help--which will provide the inspiration for more stories. The author has clearly written straight from a heart overflowing with love. May God bless all her enterprises and benefit many children (and parents) who are drawn to read the adventures of Maureen and Maury.
