Sadly this author is so far adrift in his knowledge of the sea and Nelson's navy that he really should have stayed away.
The book (and the others I bought mistakenly) has poor and unbelievable story lines and while the author tries to impress with his historical tours the navy segments are without reality and defy credulity.

Initially liked these books but as you read them you start to realise they are pretty second rate shame really

I will give my full review of this series of books after I have read number 9. However i do not think the author has done much research about 18th/19th century European history.

Irritating mistakes in the electronic text. The story is not fully convincing as too many exploits are undertaken and the high spots are diminished by broad brush description and unlikely outcomes

Haven't finished reading this series yet, but am really enjoying them. Would recommend them to any one who likes reading stories about Navel ships of the 17 and 1800 years.
