Product Description

Product Description

In a galaxy beyond the Milky Way, on a planet called Thoro, a war that he cannot understand tears apart the contented life of Hair, the Elon servant of a Mendor family. When circumstances separate him from Lucy, his friend and fellow servant, and Mara, the only surviving member of his family, Hair embarks upon a journey to find his friends in a place called the Valley of Light, where all the different races on Thoro live happily side by side. Leaving behind the only home he has ever known, Hair's perilous journey leads him into many dangerous situations and shows him just how limited and narrow his life as a servant really was. But such knowledge, as Hair finds, doesn't come without a price, and he is left bewildered and scared when he discovers the shocking truth about society on Thoro.

5.0 out of 5 stars Be aware!, 23 Jun 2006
This review is from: The Adventures of Hair (Paperback)
We never doubted, that nature will take revenge, has started already to do so: inondations, hurricans, sliding rocks. But did you expect animals to take their toll?

Read this book and you will never sleep the way you slept before - you will start to be more thoughtful with respect to the creatures around you, you will look at every tree, full with admiration but also full with fear, as he may take revenge as well.

Loved this book. All the elements of a great adventure story plus a strong message. The character of Hare is so well developed I almost feel like I know him. Would recommend this book to anyone.

5.0 out of 5 stars A different approach to denouncing the abuse of animals in our society, 24 May 2006
This review is from: The Adventures of Hair (Paperback)
At first the story appears like "just another" fantasy novel, but once the message is grasped; once you reach the chilling final chapters, the impact of what it says is quite something. Although it begins like a children /teenage book apt for the Harry Potter type reader, it is not to be recommended for young children. It is a compelling story that will make you think from an animal's point of view about what we do to nature as humans. Get ready, you will never be the same after this...
The author has written another novel called "One Creation", (www.onecreation.info) another mind-changing story that is linked to the adventures of Hair in a very interesting way.
