my 5 year old loves little bill and enjoys this book. it has fun illustrations, but as with so many books made from tv shows, lacks authorial pazazz. it's a little plodding, and doesn't have anything like the freshness or imaginative content of the tv show, which is a shame, but perhaps inevitable. i'd still consider it a good buy, however, just in terms of the positive role models it portrays.
