Adult snuggle wrap blanket with sleeves - Pink
I am a hobbyist so spend long periods sat down making things. Thought this would be a great idea. In principle the idea is great. Its a blanket that you put on top of yourself - you do not wear it like a coat - You then put your arms through the sleeves and there is pocket for a hankie and its deep enough to keep specs in the front. SO it is a blanket (71" x 54" approx.) with sleeves. Keeps you warm and wrapped up from your toes (on the floor) to your neck so you can keep working, answering the phone without unwrapping yourself. However, If this lasts more than ten washes in the washing machine I would be surprised as it is very very thin. Thinner than an outdoor fleece or a normal fleece blanket. It is thin enough to see dark clothes underneath and too thin if you are naked to keep you warm. 'Snuggle' belies its quality. Definitely NOT to be tumble dryed as this will decrease its durability. If they had made it double its thickness then this would be a quality product and definitley something to shout about. If you are 5'4" or under then the sleeves will be too long and annoying and as my friend put it her dressing gown was warmer. If you are over a size 16 then this will be too small to 'snuggle in and feel warm' as it will be at its full width and tucking it under your thighs could be a problem. The product is cheap enough that I will cut the sleeves to a better length so that they are not annoying (its a thin felt/nylon so won't fray) and use it on top of normal clothes as an extra layer wherever I am sat down around the house. This product is not thick enough to use in a cold room without some form of heat. It claims be able to be used on car journeys, air flights, outside events, and even at barbeques (although I would advise staying away from the BBQ itself) trian and coach travel. I would agree with this as it is light enough to be stuffed in a bag and taken as hand luggage. Especially on a flight when an annoying Pilot drops the temperature in the cabin on long flights and there isn't enough blankets to go around! What i wonderfor sewing enthusiasts is why not make it from a thicker fleece. A square piece of material with two slits. Joind by two cylinder shapes for the sleeves..... add as many pockets as required!
