When I first discovered 'The Secret Diary of Adrian Mole aged 13 and 3/4' I was around the same age as Adrian. I was so busy trying to identify with Adrian, I missed most of the humour.

Re-reading the first three Adrian Mole books in 'From Major to Minor' at the age of 32 has been a joy. I found them hilarious. Adrian is a neurotic, hypochondriac young man. He thinks himself an intellectual, though he's actually quite dim. He aims to be a great writer, but his writing (sampled in his diary) is very, very bad.

Adrian Mole's memoirs can be read and enjoyed by just about everyone. As a teenager, I identified with Adrian's 'no one understands my angst' attitude. As an adult I found his neuroses and misunderstandings highly amusing!

'From Minor to Major' takes Adrian from 13 to 23. Sue Townsend has created a realistic, three dimensional character. For all his faults, Adrian comes across as being real, and ultimately his heart is usually in the right place. I look forward to reading 'The Wilderness Years' and 'The Capuccino Years'.

I first started reading Adrian Mole when I was 9 and I didn't understand most of it but now reading it over and over again I have full understood it and I love it? This book combines the first 3 Adrian Mole books going from 13-23. It's a funny book and a must read

This book is the only book i have ever read that acctualy and truthfully displays how it is like to be in that age and situation. Ms Rowling is tottaly unrealistic in her work and does not posses the skills that miss Townend owns. I recomend this book to any parent to let them know how it really is like to be of that age.
