Adrian Humphreys

Adrian Humphreys is an award-winning journalist and the author of three critically acclaimed non-fiction books about organized crime. His exposés of underworld life have been featured in newspapers and magazines around the world and made into movies.

His latest book is "The Weasel: A Double Life in the Mob" published in December, 2011. It reveals the incredible story of Marvin Elkind -- a.k.a. The Weasel -- who was a driver and strong-arm goon for Jimmy Hoffa and a parade of Mafia bosses. Marvin became disenchanted with mob life and embarked on an astounding new career as a police informant. For almost 30 years he worked for the FBI, U.S. Customs, Scotland Yard, Canadian police, Mexico's Federales and other agencies on three continents, infiltrating and betraying mobsters, mercenaries, spies, terrorists, drug traffickers, union fat cats and corrupt politicians.

Adrian's first book was "The Enforcer," published in 1999 with an updated trade paperback edition released in 2002. This national bestseller is the decidedly unauthorized biography of Johnny Pops Papalia, one of North America's longest-reigning Mafia bosses.

Next came "The Sixth Family" co-authored with Lee Lamothe. It is an epic mob saga published in three languages -- English, Italian and French. This bestseller tells the multi-generational story of the collapse of the New York Mafia and the rise of Vito Rizzuto. Research took Adrian from Sicily to New York, Montreal to Venezuela. Released in 2006, an updated and expanded trade paperback edition was published in 2008.
