What is a Mediaroots Video Training DVD-Rom?
Mediaroots Video Training DVD-Roms are like having your own personal tutor. Just place the DVD-Rom into your PC or Mac and start watching! Watching the videos are like looking over the instructor's shoulder while they work, looking at their computer screen as they talk you through what they're doing.

Why use a Mediaroots product instead of going on a training course?
Courses at training centres cost upwards of £500 for just a two day course. Our training DVD-Roms give the flexibility to allow you to learn at your own pace, at a time good for you and the place you feel most comfortable.

Who are Mediaroots products targeted at?
Mediaroots products aren't targetted at any specific group, they are suitable for anyone looking to learn a piece of software, however they do provide a particular focus on teaching skills and techniques relevant to an academic course or job.

What skill level is required?
All of our Video Training DVD-Roms start with the very basics and work upwards to cover the more advanced techniques, so it doesn't matter if you've never even opened the program before, or already have a bit of experience.

Overview

Use this DVD to learn how to use Adobe® Premiere® to capture, edit and deliver video like a pro. This thorough training program takes the pain out of learning new software, and breaks down potentially complex tasks and features into manageable sections such as "Transitions", "Titles" and "Effects". Premiere expert Adam Stokoe navigates you through the software to the point where you can confidently create anything from a short film to a full-length movie.

Because video editing can be extremely technical, especially for those who are new to it, Adam’s step-by-step instruction lets you to learn at your own pace. You can start with an introduction to the very basics, such as choosing tools and preferences, before gradually progressing to the more creative aspects of the program, such as working with clips, editing sequences and creating effects.

All the latest CS4 enhancements are covered, including the new end-to-end metadata workflow, "Speech Search" and tapeless camera support that lets you use the latest tapeless formats. The DVD concludes with a broad range of interactive exercises in animation, audio and exporting work, and you’ll be amazed at how quickly you progress to making and editing your very own films. The only thing we can’t guarantee is good reviews of your work! Learn from the comfort of your own home, at your own pace. Amazon Vine™ Review (What's this?)
First things first the British voice is good to hear but in truth I never had that much of a problem with the american voices used in numerous adobe products I have used in the past (which had their own training element with them). The information is provided in a clear and concise fashion and is of true benefit for anyone who really wants to get into this software. I think the most useful part of this is that the training guide gives an excellent grounding in the basics before dipping further into the more technical elements of the software. When you have used this video training package you gain a full appreciation of how powerful Premiere is and how easy it can be to use. This is really well done and well worth buying if you want to get more up close and personal with Adobe Premiere.

Great with Photoshop 21 April 2009
    By Ronnie
I'm a complete novice looking to get started with Adobe Premiere. I bought this training DVD along with Mediaroots' Photoshop DVD and they're building me up to speed well. As a complete beginner I needed something that would take me from the complete basics upwards and that's exactly what I've received, the presenter starts out as if teaching someone who's never opened Premiere before. I really like his teaching style and look forward to completing the whole DVD.

    Amazon Vine™ Review (What's this?)
I found the material in this DVD very clear and to the point. No waffling or time-filling. The structure is logical and takes the beginner through the basics before looking at the more complex editing and exporting features. If you have bought Premiere and have found it a bit daunting or find that you are only using 5-10% of the functionality, this one's for you.
