I am writing this to warn other academics and teachers buying this out of the goodness of their hearts to create websites, etc., for their students. My review is based on my personal experience. Thus far I have spent about two weeks trying to get the code from Adobe which I need to activate the software. The process is tedious and they just assume you are a student and so want proof of enrolment, no matter how often you explain that you are an academic. The system works entirely by them leaving you messages electronically through their website and you typing information back in. Their system requires lots of proof of status but has a tiny amount of memory available for you to do this. It has been a complete waste of money and an aggravating waste of time. There are many more straightforward software packages out there, so I would suggest using one of them or getting your institution to acquire the software for you. This is exactly the sort of experience you fear when dealing with software companies over the internet.
A great product that does all you would want for web site development and more. Picked up our existing code (HTML, CFML, SQL) and allowed us to build our next generation of web site with more customer views and pdf support.
The student and teacher edition does require verification through the Adobe web site (they don't email it to you). Otherwise a fantastic product!
