This is a terrific book. It answers all the questions I had and many more I hadn't even thought of but am so much better for knowing. I ordered it expecting something on the lines of a catalogue of ports and harbours. There's not so much of that and it's better for it. I thought long and hard about reviewing this book favourably because having read it, I can't wait to get on with it and I don't want the place to get too crowded because it will encourage you to go ahead.

This book is Really a general guide to cruising with a Mediterranean flavour. If you are new to cruising then it could be a good introduction to the life style. If however you are an experienced cruiser looking for specific information on the Mediterranean then you would probably be disappointed in this book. I think the title does not make it clear that this book is so general in nature and that is why I have rated it down. I returned this book and bought the Mediterranean Almanac by the same author.

If anyone is contemplating this adventure, this book will definitely put things into perspective. It gives you enough information to make an informed decision but it also took away the romance of the idea.
