I've bought other types of hook and loop cable ties but these are by far the most practical. I'd previously tried the type which already have a loop at the end but found that frequently the loop doesn't go over either the plug end or the other end of the cable. This design where you can thread the tie though a hole means that you can attach the tie to any part of the cable and it wont' fall off when you need to unwrap the cable to use it. Also as it's sticky all the way along the tie it's much less fiddly to use than the ones which have a small 'hook' square which you have to line up. And they are also cheaper - what more could you want...

How did I function without these?
An absolutely brilliant idea and fantastic in practice. Word of warning: they will not take alot of pressure so dont use them to hang things from that are particularly heavy.
