About 2 months have passed since writing the review below. The little nubs DO BREAK OFF! The small outer most nubs start breaking off and once just ONE nub falls off, the rest follow. The left slide now has a region on the upper left (below the strap) with no nubs and weak surrounding nubs and the right slide is also starting to do the same.

In short:
Takes patience to get used to but it's very much worth it due to its unmatched advantages. These are the ideal slides for me simply because their advantages are not matched by any other slides I've looked around for. The nubs are a great idea, they help air circulation which further improves an already quick drying material, they help delay sweating and odour for much longer than other slides and they massage below your feet. They fit well due to adjustable strap and they are durable.

Comfort: Patience really pays off.
OK, there may be reviews around complaining of how uncomfortable these are. Yes, they did hurt at first and they certainly may for you as well. I even almost gave up after trying to get used to them for a while. I set them aside and after another while decided to give them another go. Soon after, my feet started loving them!

If you have a pair of these and are wondering "how can someone get used to this?"... give it some more patience. A break if needed, set them aside for a while then get back to them. Eventually, you WILL get used to them, you won't feel any discomfort and you WILL love them.

If you're wondering "why should I get used to them at all?" the reason is the nubs.
1. The feet and slides DRY MUCH QUICKER (especially bottom of the feet) due to the space for air between the nubs.
2. Odour free for longer than other slides as your feet wont sweat as much if your wearing them in hot weather for a long time, again because of the air circulation between the nubs. Can't say the same for the part under the straps though.
3. Healthy feet soles with increased blood circulation from the massage.

Some nubs are larger than others for different regions of the sole but all the nubs seem to be strong, ***READ UPDATE ABOVE*** none have come off for the 7 months that I wore them. I have balanced on one feet, to the side of one feet, pushed down with one toe... still no nubs have come off and neither do they look like they will unless removed intentionally. ***READ UPDATE ABOVE***

Hygiene and cleanliness:
I saw one complaining that it gets dirty in between. That actually is not a problem for me. Occasionally if they do get dirty I easily wash them with soap and brush (like a nail brush).

Quick drying:
Yes they are. Apparently they are made of some special material that dries quick. I don't know if its the material, the circulation of air between the nubs, or both... but they certainly do dry quick; both themselves and your feet (excluding the part below the strap). Do keep them away from heat sources though, the top of the radiator or fan heater for example, because once I left them in front of a fan heater to dry the straps before I got out of shower and the straps got very soft and once they cooled they got slightly creased, but that's all. The rest of the slides don't seem to be affected by the heat.

Mine are 1/2 size larger than my feet and they fit fine. The adjustable straps work a treat for the perfect fit.

I bought these to replace slides that had weak straps which gradually ripped off where they joined the soles. That doesn't seem to be a problem with these ones. Had these for about 7 months now, no signs of wear. They seem to be very durable. As mentioned above, ***READ UPDATE ABOVE*** none of the nubs have come off for the 7 months that I had them and the straps show no signs of ripping or coming off. ***READ UPDATE ABOVE***

Slippery or not?
The bottom of the slides are contoured and something between soft and hard rubber (you can easily push them in with your thumb) so they seem to have good enough traction. I haven't had any slipping problems in my shower.

They are not the lightest slippers obviously. Roughly guessing, about 100 grams. However, I am only mentioning this for completeness of the review. They actually don't feel anything apart from light.

Any cons?
The straps could have been one of those adjustable mesh type straps. They are the only bits that don't dry quick while wearing them wet. Being quick drying slides, this would've completed the purpose of the slides.

Bought these a few weeks ago and initially was disappointed with my purchase because they hurt so much after just a 15m walkabout

However dont let that put you off, yes it will hurt and be painful at first, but after about week, slowly building up 15m, 20m, 30m etc they soften up and your feet get used to them. Then it's just one of the most comfortable sandals ever.

They just massage your feet as you walk, and they have the air gap to stop sweating/odours so you can were for a really long time.

After a long walk or cycle ride, these are my go to slippers for walking around the house.

Definitely recommend it.

Admittedly, the soles of the feet do take a little time to acclimatise to the massaging nodules that line the foot-bed. However, by wearing the Santiossage Slides for short periods throughout the day, my feet have quickly become accustomed.

If considering the Santiossage slides as a holiday purchase, I'd recommend ordering them at least a fortnight beforehand, allowing sufficient time for the feet to become accustomed.

While they'll never be the kind of sandal you can wear for walking long distances, their use is perfect for the purpose I'd bought them, chiefly for wear after the gym or running to help relax and revive my feet.

Having purchased the slides (not through Amazon) in size 10, they fit perfectly without ever feeling cumbersome or heavy upon the feet. The adjustable velcro strapping over the instep also ensures that they remain secure upon the feet when walking around.

All in all, my feet feel comfortable and relaxed both during and after their use.

Bought these for my husband just to lounge around the house in. They took him a little while to get used to them but now they are very comfy and extremely good value for money. Would also recommend them for the beach.

Have been after a pair of these for years since Scholl stopped doing them. I have no idea why they are called "Running shoes" as you would break an ankle at the first pot-hole or divot. What they are is an excellent pair of flip-flops for pool-side (tramping to and from the muddy changing room to the pool) or even if you just have hard feet and don't want to pay for expensive and recurring treatments. The "bobbles" which do take a little while to get used to soon massage away any dry skin on your soles and all you have to do is run them under the shower for a minute to clean. Really do rate them a five which doesn't happen often.

It takes a few days to get used to the pressure on the soles of your feet, however once the discomfort passes you wonder what you were fussing about. These sandals are comfortable versatile. Well worth the money.

Have been looking for a pair massage slippers for ages that are reasonably priced.
