I bought these for my new ktichen to stand either side of my recipe books on a midi unit. They do look good but I have found that against the number of books I use them with they have on occasion moved. The first time one fell onto the worktop below and smashed the biscuit jar :-( On another occasion one has fallen on its side and got chipped (need a black felt tip here to cover up the mark).

Top marks for looks but not heavy enough for my needs.

These bookends were a 21st present and looked fantastic! Brilliant delivery, packaging and quality. Highly recommend. Very classy. Bought as a pair with the leaning bookends so they can be mixed and matched.

The bookends look very classy. they can be placed by themselves (with the books against the wall). They have a good solid weight and can easily hold heavy books
