I bought one of these as a cheaper alternative to the 1-XT speaker for my Marshall styled 1XT DAB radio, as I could not find an Marshall Evoke styled additional speakers. However, do not buy this for a 1-XT radio as it is not compatible with that system, which I discovered after contacting support at Pure. This speaker is compatible with Pure 1S DAB radios.
Anyway the build is just the same as the 1XT speakers and these are great little speakers, with a 3 metre cable and bass port at the back, good stereo image (except for mono stations like Kerrang) just make sure you buy one that is compatible with your system. The cherry wood coulour is much nicer than the one pictured here, it's more like a darker version of the Maple and not as reddish as it looks here - more like a dark pine colour. Would recommend.

This is a great product to enhance the radio reception. Small problem if not bought at same time as radio as colour match may not be exact.

big on sounds and size
Good wood match for my existing cherry Tempus 1-S although the speaker is about 3mm larger in height than my existing unit!!! So if you have it along side it looks very odd. Read more

Pure S-1 Speaker
