My mum does not have a computer and needed a charger to go with her new model Kindle.
This is perfect.
At the time we bought this the Amazon branded plug was around £13. This was under £4.
She has used it last night for the first time and it did the job perfectly.

Bought this to use with my Kindle, which it works a treat with - very useful to take on trips when a laptop isn't available. The plug also works with other gadgets so for the price it's a really good buy. Useful little red light to let you know when it's using electricity. Kindle, Wi-Fi, 6" E Ink Display

My kindle did not come with a mains adapter and as I wanted to take this on holiday and would not have assess to a computer needed a mains charger. This does what is required.
