It does,
By Martin Turner "Martin Turner" (Marlcliff, Warwickshire, England) - See all my reviews (VINE VOICE) (TOP 50 REVIEWER) (HALL OF FAME REVIEWER)
This review is from: 3.5mm Socket to 6.35mm Jack Plug Audio Stereo Adaptor Gold Premium Quality 6.3mm 1/4 inch Headphone Adapter (Electronics)
This is a high quality adapter from consumer 3.5mm to professional 1/4" stereo jack plug. You would want it if you have a set of consumer headphones, such as the iPod type, and you want to connect it to pro-audio equipment such as the M-Audio ProFire 610 firewire audio interface, or to older hi-fi separates. You might also want to get one if you've replaced the 1/4" plug on pro-headphones such as Sennheiser - HD 25-SP II with a 3.5mm for use with a video camera, but also want to connect them to a pro-deck for editing. If you want to use a pair of headphones for both socket sizes, then doing it this way round is infinitely preferable to putting the other kind of adapter (3.5mm Stereo Jack Plug to 6.3mm Stereo Socket) onto a 1/4" plug. 3.5mm sockets are inherently fragile, and the leverage exerted by a big adapter, in conjunction with a big plug and most probably a fairly stiff cable will quickly wreck most consumer electronics equipment, which is more fragile than pro stuff anyway. Is it worth going for 'gold'? There are plastic adapters for half as much. But, unless you are buying a hundred of these things, that isn't much of a difference in absolute terms. You will get marginally better screening with this type, which may or may not ever actually make a difference when listening on headphones. Of course, if you actually want to use this in a signal chain for recording or live performance, then a metal connector might be more critical. But this is not the right solution -- if you need a clean, reliable signal, get a proper cable made up. Otherwise, it does what it's supposed to. That's it really.

Really nice,

This review is from: 3.5mm Socket to 6.35mm Jack Plug Audio Stereo Adaptor Gold Premium Quality 6.3mm 1/4 inch Headphone Adapter (Electronics)
Very solid little adaptor, the connections fit firmly with no play at all. Ideal if you want to plug regular headphones or computer speakers (3.5mm) into a stereo, a keyboard or any other 1/4" socket of course. The quality lost through this adaptor is abosultely minimal. And it looks lovely.

Just the job!,

Needed a headphone adaptor for my older model keyboard when my ancient headphones gave up the ghost. Only ever used them with the keyboard so didn't want to pay a lot for new headphones. This was just the job! Well packaged and quick delivery.
