5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic Book! 20 Jan 2003
By Tori
Format:Paperback
This is a really moving book!
Young Adam is diagonised as "different" from the very beginning. His mother is frantic and tries desperately to help Adam rejoin the real world. The introduction of Oscar, a female cat, is what aids Adam on his road to recovery. Oscar helps him in his quest to learn while he can understand "Mammalog", the animal's language. It is a very moving story which anyone who has every been "a little different" can relate to!

5.0 out of 5 stars Adam's Ark review 17 Aug 2005
By A Customer
Format:Paperback
This book is amazing, i read it as a child over and over again it has such a powerful storyline, it is impossible to not fall in love with Adam and Oscar's relationship. After re-reading it now i'm a little older, i see the depth in this book, for example, how well Adam's autism is displayed and how the modern and almost controversial storylines are not excluded or dumbed down. It's perfect for any child.

4.0 out of 5 stars Adam's Ark 22 Feb 2005
By A Customer
Format:Paperback
This book is really good. Not only does it cover issues dealing with autism, but also issues on animal cruelty, particularly vivisection, due to Adam's ability to communicate with animals. I remember particularly liking this book as a child, and am considering buying a copy to read again.
