Adam read Medicine and Neuroscience at Cambridge University before completing his clinical training at University College, London. He is now a consultant and joint clinical lead of Allergy at Guy's & St Thomas' Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, the UK's largest specialist allergy service.
Adam is an Expert Advisor to NICE (National Institute for Health & Care Excellence), secretary of the British Society of Allergy & Clinical Immunology and represents Allergology on the Department of Health Paediatric Medicine Clinical Reference Group. He is also a trustee and Chair of the Advisory Board of Allergy UK, and acts as advisor to numerous charities including the Anaphylaxis Campaign, Living with Reflux, FABED and Sense about Science as well as the Advertising Standards Authority.
Adam's research interests relate to numerous aspects of allergy especially food allergy and immunotherapy. He is a Reader in Paediatric Allergy at King's College London and his doctoral thesis on Peanut Allergy was awarded the Raymond Horton-Smith prize by Cambridge University in 2012. Adam was included in 'The Times Magazine: Britain's Best Children's Doctors' (2012), The Tatler Doctors List (2013) and was awarded 'Paediatric Allergist of the Year' by Allergy UK in 2007.
He is married and lives in North London with his wife, son and daughter.
