Adam Colton is the author of five paperbacks.
'Seven Dreams of Reality', is a collection of surreal and dream-like stories and a departure from the travel and topical humour themes of his other books. His latest book 'The Kent-erbury Tales' continues to explore these ideas about perception and could loosely be described as a modern day Canterbury Tales, setting the stories in real locations in the county of Kent.
'England and Wales in a Flash' (co-written with his father, Roger) was the subject of a question on University Challenge, being the definitive tome for lighthouse explorers in the UK. It's Scottish sequel 'Bordering on Lunacy' adds even more history and musings into the formula, while 'Mud Sweat and Beers' is a humorous narrative of two young men unloading their heads while hiking from Kent to Somerset.
Adam's writing has been included in the anthologies 'Rising Thunder' (short stories) and 'My Small World' (poetry). He is also a topical and sometimes humorous songwriter featuring on four CDs, as well as the producer of two DVDs of road journeys around Kent recorded for posterity in the 1990s.
