Product Description

"500 Activities for the Primary Classroom" is the answer to that perennial question of "What on earth am I going to do with my class tomorrow?" Aimed at teachers of children between the ages of 3-12, this is a lively, varied compendium of ideas and classroom activities. Key features include: wide-ranging resource of activities which are easy to set up and do not require a lot of additional materials; and up-to-date approach that covers current approaches in teaching children including content-based learning. It is ideal for all primary-focused teachers, including those on teacher training courses such as the Cambridge CELTYL. It is designed to be flexible to supplement a wide range of syllabus-types (story-based, grammatical, etc.).

Great Practical Bool 31 May 2009
Format:Paperback
A Great book and well set out. It is easy reading with many simple and practical idea. My wife says 'why are you scared to teach children'. This little book takes away some of the fear for someone more used to and comfortable with teaching adults and university students! Yes like many in ESL I have been asked to teach children so this book is part of my new kit bag along with the Cambridge Copy Collection 'Primary Communication Box'.

Indispensable! 18 May 2008
Format:Paperback
This book is great. I got it the beginning of the school year and have used it just about every week. I am an EFL teacher with students aged between 4 and 12 and there's something in here for all of them. I've used it for games, great little chants for routines, ideas on how to get more out of storytelling, writing poems etc etc. It's great for topic work -just look up in the index (eg 'food' or 'animals' ) and there's lots of different activities. For adults, the 700 classroom activities in this same series is just as good!

Excellent recourse 22 Feb 2010
By Genine
Format:Paperback
This is a really in-depth and well presented book. It is divided into 4 sections to cover the 4 skills, reading, writing, listening and speaking. I am teaching various classes covering ages 3 - 8, and have found these games very useful indeed. Just the fact that it contains 500 activities makes it a bargain, you will easily find 50 ideas to use immediately, and that's just for starters! Would really recommend this most highly.
