Good for the price,
This review is from: Activ by Raleigh Flyte II Women's Rigid Mountain Bike - White, 17 Inch (Sports)
I confess this was an unplanned purchase, bought on a whim (and special offer), although even at full price it's still good value for money. Some assembly was required, but nothing technical or taxing. It looks quality, too. It's not heavy and has easy-to-use gear change. It does not have suspension or disc brakes, but for ordinary leisure use these are unnecessary. The Raleigh name always gives confidence and this is no exception. All in all, a good buy at a great price.

Great entry-level bike,
This review is from: Activ by Raleigh Flyte II Women's Rigid Mountain Bike - White, 17 Inch (Sports)
This is a great bike for those wanting a low-cost bike which will be used every now and then. Really happy with the quality of construction and the gears are smooth. The seat could be better quality but at this price there is not really any complaints. One tip - tighten everything before setting off, especially the handlebars!

Looked like a great value bike but the first one arrived, set it up and the front wheel seemed out of alignment with the brakes which were constantly rubbing. Sent it back, got the 2nd one professionally set up, the guys mentioned a problem with the gears slipping but they had done the best they could. After a couple of rides I found the gears where indeed slipping, they tried to alter them again, but gave up. The seat was uncomfortable too, but not a problem with the many gel pads out there...would be nice if the seat was comfortable in the first place though, to avoid incurring extra expense.I don't doubt this is a good value bike, and for most people who buy it, they are pleased. I obviously had a couple of bad ones, so don't want anyone to be put off trying it.
