4.0 out of 5 stars pretty funked 24 Feb 2014

Since 1975 is a little while ago, I cannot say if I ever heard their only Hot 100 single- - the title track. Probably can say with certainty that I never saw the LP cover since even then I was collecting risqué jackets.
It wasn't until I read the list of November 2014 Record Store Day releases that I saw the LP. Had to get it but my local record store understandably didn't put it on their list. So to Amazon I went. At first only the CD was available. Then came the LP.
I must say I really like the title track. And the rest of the album, well, it's a very good funk disc. Certainly not in Parliament's league, but most tracks pass the mustard; even the unexpected cover of America's Tin Man which had gone Top Ten only a year prior. There are a couple of weaker tracks on side two but the advantage of vinyl is that one need not flip it over.
The CD contains the "bonus" track which is the single version of My Mind Is Hazy in addition to the lp version.
