I have bought this book about 5 years ago, while preparing to study how to facilitate action learning sets, well after getting the book I didn't need the workshop, as I did my first facilitated workshop a week after getting the book, and since than i facilitated over 40 sets and trained facilitators all over the world.
it really has everything you need to get going and run a set.
