4.0 out of 5 stars Masterclass 21 May 2010
Format:DVD|Verified Purchase
This concise look at acting from one of the world's best (Michael Caine) is a valuable aide to actors and directors. It is simple and direct. It is very short though (60 mins) and it helps if you know the referenced films in the latter part of the class (although this is not essential). This will tell actors the simplicity of acting to camera as opposed to theatre. The DVD is so insightful however that I think it an invaluable resource. I've been looking for it since the mid 90's and I jumped at buying it even at £20.

3.0 out of 5 stars Shame about the price! 1 Jun 2014
Format:DVD|Verified Purchase
I remember viewing this when it was originally broadcast by the BBC, so it is good to be able to own a copy. An excellent 'tips from the trade' insight into film acting technique by Mr Micklewhite himself. The three star rating was heavily weighted by the very high price of the DVD which was more expensive than many releases on blu ray.

This is a great product for all film actors.
The DVD case was broken when i got it - that is the only dislike I have.
