Just thought I would take the time to review this item as I have just popped on to purchase my third pair of these speakers!!
I originally bought two sets to connect to my cambridge audio amp. I have one set in the kitchen and one set in the conservatory. The third set I have just purchased will go in the lounge. I use these via the amp and a speaker splitter to play music from my ipod around the house.
The sound quality is more than satisfactory for my undiscerning ear (what do you want for 25 quid!?).
Fully recommend that anyone looking for budget speakers buys a set of these. Also worth mentioning I called the seller with a technical question. he was very friendly and helpful and told me all I need to know.

I bought this speaker to use with my mini hi-fi that I put in my son's room. After reading the review I decided to give it a try and I purchase a pair through Amazon. I was suprise with the sound and build quality for the unit. I'm a Hi-Fi enthusiast and I'm quite familiar with sound quality. With the money that I had spend to buy this speakers 5 Star is what it deserve. I was suprise with the performance from the minute I hook it up with my Yamaha and using a QED speaker cable (worth more than the speaker itself) the sound is just excellent. I definately recommend the speakers for those who want to listen to good music without breaking the bank.

Great Value
The speakers on my new Toshiba 3D Tv are awful. A real squawk box sound. I bought the AV21 speakers to replace those in the TV. Excellent result. Read more

To call these speakers overrated would be a major understatement
I bought a pair of these for about twenty-five pounds not long ago. They were delivered promptly but one arrived with its tweeter broken off and rattling around the cabinet. Read more

Nice for the price....
These bookshelf speakers are just the right size, and whilst they will not be challenging high-end Missions, B & W, Wharfdales or Tannoys, they still reproduce faithfully. Read more

The first set of speaker had something loose inside and rattled. The replacements were fine until the spring loaded clip which holds the wire sprrung out and I can't get it back. Read more

BOOK SHEL SPEAKERS
Yes they are not hifi by any means but are fine for the time when hifi has lost its appeal and hearing is not what it used to be. cheap and cheerful.
