The advertisement of the X110 Projector caught my eye and after ordering it the delivery was prompt and well packed.
The size and weight is excellent as I will often be using it away from home. It is easy to set up, and the reproduction of slides and videos are brilliant. The performance is just as good as a much more expensive one owned by a friend! I am impressed with the setting that compensates for a non-white wall.
It was unfortunate that the included CD was not working at all so I had to download the manual.
Also it was not immediately clear the the remote control does not change the slides. A separate cable has to be purchased. Alternatively a wireless remote control can be purchased from a computer shop. I did the latter and it is fantastic.
Help over the above difficulties was given by an Amazon staff member who was brilliant.
I recommend this item 100%
SINCE WRITING THE ABOVE I HAVE HAD THE DEVASTATING EXPERIENCE THAT AFTER ONLY THREE (3) HOURS OF USE THE PROJECTOR WENT INTO "FAN FAILURE" (screen message). HAVING CAREFULLY STORED IT IN A PROTECTIVE CASE AND HANDLED IT GENTLY MY S.O.S TO AMAZON SAW THEM TO THE RESCUE - THANK YOU AMAZON - NOW ALTHOUGH I STILL THINK THE PICTURE QUALITY IS EXCELLENT I AM WARY OF REPLACING IT.
Sheila Holwell.

I've used and owned a large number of projectors, but was still very impressed with this inexpensive projector. Bright, good colour and amazing blacks - perfect for watching films. Highly recommended for the money.

Verified Purchase
Have had this for a few days now and have found it good, clear and bright. It was easy to set up with a laptop and it kept good colours even projecting onto a light blue sheet I had to hang up in the room as a screen. The disc with the manual was warped and unusable but rather than phone up to get a new one sent I downloaded a pdf from the internet after doing a little searching.

It seems to cool down reasonably quickly.

I have to say comparing this projector with others I have used over the years this is better and at such a low price is an excellent buy.

I had wanted a projector for some time and finally settled for this one.
I hooked it up to my xbox 360 and have it set up for a 98inch screen and its incredible, playing black ops at that size in that detail is breath taking.
My only problem was the disc being warped but after a bit of messing you can get a great picture! delivery was prompt too.
RECOMMEND TO ALL :D

For the last couple of years I always wanted to buy a projector. But the prince range with the quality was out of my range. Reading the reviews and comparing the prices of different projectors last week I decided to buy ACER X110 3D projector. Yesterday the projector arrived. I was surprised by the picture quality of this projector.Excellent product. The picture quality is really awesome. I bought it from amazon. The delivery was on time. I can recommend this projector to those who are looking for a cheaper projector but with excellent picture quality.

Worthy of its brandname, this product arrived in excellent condition. Hooking it up to my DVD player was a doddle and -hey presto- instant home cinema. Intuitive operation, very good picture quality. Overall good value for money.

Hi all.
Seen some other reviews on this saying it isn't 3d, or that you need a pc or hdmi cable to make 3d possible. Trust me when i say this is utter rubbish and bad research on these peoples parts.
I have had one for 2 years and now passed it onto my work as a big sign board.
When i had it at home i had it connected via virgin tivo by a phono cable (scart box convertor) for tv, and a vga convertor cable for the xbox.

Granted neither of these with the projector will work on true 3d sbs (side by side) videos, but it does in the menu support 3d enable mode.

On the front of the projector it has a built in infra red sender for 3d glasses, which bounces off the wall you are displaying onto.

With 3d enabled all you need is active dlp link glasses (powered battery ones).
I went for the optema 3d glasses (£80ish) as my main pair and got some cheap £20 ones from Japan via ebay.

Both worked well, but the optoma ones worked very nicely and also look/fit nice too.

In the menu for the projector you just set the 3d depth for each screen you are watching. Easy. I also had a hifi to run the audio as a more permanent option in my setup.

You don't need any 3d convertor boxes or any other items to make 3d work other than glasses and your projector so don't waste money via not enough research done.

The 3d is good, even from the videos not being made for 3d which also surprised me.

All in all a top product and well worth the money and impressive to show your friends and family when the come over, or just for your own films/games.

I would advise getting the vga cable convertor for ps3/xbox also as this supports nearly hd quality images.

The projector is easy to connect and the picture quality very clear and bright. Slight teething problems though with moving the projector to adjust screen size as it cut out. Could be a loose connection as it seems better now? Unfortunately the instruction CD which was too warped to load so I had to download it from the internet.
