This is a mimic of the system here, everything is priced from this site.

Intel Core i7 960 / 3.2 GHz processor : £262.17
V GTX260 576M 896MB DDR3 x2: £168
Corsair CMZ12GX3M3A1600C9 12GB (3 x 4GB) DDR3 Vengeance Memory: £67.00
Samsung F3 HD103SJ 1TB internal Hard Drive SATAII 32MB Cache 7200RPM - OEM x2 : £140.00
Sony DDU1681S-0B 18x/48x DVD-ROM SATA - Black: £12.59
Sony AD-7280S-0B 24x Internal SATA DVD Multi Writer Black Bare: £14.76
Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium with Service Pack 1, 64-bit, English, 1 Pack, DSP OEI: £71.98
Antec Kuhler H2O 920 Liquid Cooling System: £78.97

(these items aren't on the title but they are in the PC, no idea about the make so i took high performance brands to be fair)

Corsair CMPSU-650TXV2UK Enthusiast Series TX650 V2 High Performance 650W Power Supply (very nice quality): 69.45
Gigabyte SKT-1366 X58A-OC Motherboard: £249.99

Total: £1134.91

So your basically paying £1565.08 for a case! (the ONLY thing not on my list is a case) And this isn't even focusing on the fact that if you used DIFFERENT parts you would get better performance for LESS. more ££ doesn't mean more power ATALL
And yes this case may look trendy and impress your friends, but look at the design for a second. The DVD Drives are located behind the front panel, which has to swing over the top to uncover them. If you plug any USBs into the sockets supplied at the top of the case, the cables will stop the front from rising. You will have to constantly unplug your top front pannel USB devices to access your drives.

I'm not trying to ruffle any feathers here but this is a MASSIVE rip off.
I built an i7-3770k Iveybridge PC, with 16GB of DDR3 2133mHz Memory and a GTX670 for just over £1250. That was the ENTIRE PC cost(although i didn't need a case), and it would DESTROY the pc being sold here. For UNDER half the price.

You can't argue the facts

You can build this machine for under £700 alone. The parts are pathetic for the price. The only thing you are paying for is the name, but after seeing this; overpriced, I don't like Acer anymore! The only thing 'Good' about it is the case that it comes in, but the parts are utterly rubbish. This machine would not be worth more than £700 from a tech builder, you could probably find the parts much cheaper elsewhere. 2 x 260's is like saying I have two REALLY BAD graphics cards in my PC, SLI; in Nvidia's tone is also slightly under-supported, it will take a few years before Crossfire and SLI's become mandatory within games, by that time these graphics cards aren't even worth bothering with.

Would be 1 star, but I like the case none the less. This machine could run Battlefield 3 on Low-Medium where as you could purchase a single RADEON HD 6870 for around £120 and play it on HIGH. Unbelieveable.

I'm shocked at how much this machine is listed for. Never mind building one yourself, you can buy one pre-built and with the same spec for about half the price.

I built my PC for under £1000 with the following specs:

AMD Phenom ii x6 1090t 3.2GHz (4GHz OC)
Asus sabertooth 990fx
Antec 100
Samsung 128gb SSD
Samsung 1TB HDD 7200rpm
16gb corsair XMS3 RAM
2x ATI radeon HD 6950 2gb crossfire
WIN 7 home premium 64 bit

My PC would beat this predator hands down in just about every single benchmark.
Apart from the processor which may be slightly faster, but with mine OC'd to 4GHz
there would be no noticeable difference.

Why on earth anyone would pay this extortionate amount of this heap of junk i have no idea.

Acer was a good computer company, but from this I really hate Acer right now.

Currently I'm building a Desktop, which only cost me £409.99 for everything that I brought off Amazon. Compare to this, the one I build is 2x faster than Acer Predator.

I'm sorry to say this, 12GB ram which only cost about £34.99 or more. GTX 260 is the old version, you can pickup GTX 560 on Amazon for £45.99 or more. Intel i7 is the same as AMD Bulldozer, and AMD Bulldozer can over clock to 4.5Ghz.

This is a LOT of money for something with GTX 260 graphics cards.
Nvidia GTX 260s can be picked up new for under £80.
This is either a typo in the spec, or the system will be seriously bottlenecked by the ancient steam-driven GPUs that have been installed in an otherwise decent system.
For over two and a half grand RRP, I'd expect at least 2 GTX 560s in it.

This build is so old its not even worth it. The case is very poor and it can break so easy. Could be built for so much cheaper. If i could i would rate it a big fat zero. If i had the chance to own this 2 years ago, when it came out it still would of been cheaper to build a much better machine myself. God help the person who buys this now, thinking they got them self a good machine.

POOR MACHINE

This has got me shocked what an absolute pile of rubbish.
This is no where near that asking price.
Its not worth a £1000. You could custom build a machine twice as fast as this for half the price.
Alienware auroras are the same i dont think they are worth the price that there asking.
This pc should have at least x2 gtx 460 or higher video cards.
nvidia 260 are way outdated i feel sorry for someone who would buy this pc so who ever is going to consider this i hope they read the reviews first.

i7 3770k ivy bridge £242
asus maximus v extreme motherboard £300
corsair power supply ax 1200 £200
hard drive ssd 140mb £200 or less
sound card xonar phoebus £190
Here is just an example of the pc you could make half the price of this and 10x faster.
