It was easy to connect and worked instantly, with just a minor alteration to resolution, giving a bright clear image and no high pitched buzzing noise, which I have had with some other makes. The screen has a lovely silky surface texture, not at all grainy, and I have no trouble with light reflecting off it, even though I sit with my back to the window.
It feels heavy and substantial and looks trick. A very good purchase at a great price.
The very second I got it out of the box and hooked it up to my pc and ps3 this bad boy stepped up to the challenge. I haven't had to adjust any of the settings the auto config does the job perfectly and the image quality is the best I've seen on any display out there.
If you're looking for a full hd monitor with excellent performance at a low price then this the acer p225hq is exactly what you need.
Word of warning when ordering from Amazon though. They now use HDNL (home delivery network) who lost my package, hence why it took 2 weeks. When it came, the outer frame was smashed to buggery. Amazon quickly got me a new oone though and bent over backwards to sort it.
I hate people who rate down a PRODUCT because of the delivery service, so i havn't, Just a word of warning though. The monitor is faultless and just breathtaking.
Five control buttons are situated on the underside of the front panel, and are only marked by very pale grey dots than can be hard to see among the reflections from the glossy plastic finish. However, hit any of them and an on-screen display will appear, complete with arrows indicating which button performs which function.
It has five pre-configured modes for different brightness/contrast/etc settings - User, Text, Standard, Graphics and Movie - and I have noticed that all but Text & Graphics cause the screen to emit a soft high-pitched hum. This is not an issue for me as I find Text mode is easiest on the eye (and ears).
In general I would highly recommend this monitor. The picture is sharp with no dead pixels, and the refresh time is fast enough to be unnoticeable. The power button is large and extremely easy to press so there's no excuse not to save a bit of energy when you step away from your desk.
thats it really theres no bad points, amazon was great. it came pritty quick (4days) for the free delivery service, so not bad service.
hope this has helped people.
