I have been really impressed with this laptop. The HD screen is great, the processor keeps everything moving quickly and the graphics card is very good. Windows 8 takes a bit of getting used to but once you get the hang of it it is easy to use. Overall I would recommend this laptop to anyone.

We had to send this item back to Germany twice for repair and the second time lenovo themselves refused to replace it! I'd be surprised if it survives for sale. We lost money and time and we were very much inconvenienced by the failure of this product.

I bought mine as a replacement for a dead Acer 6350G. Compared to the specs for that this one is outstanding. I was wary of Windows 8, as opposed to 7, but I'm getting the hang of it. I can now play games and enjoy the scenery and action without cooking my GPU, or overloading the processor.

It does come with the latest Microsoft Office components, but if you don't fancy paying out for the full product key for that group of programmes, there is the option of downloading the earlier products using that key. Office 2010 was coming in at around £140 straight from Microsoft, so using the earlier key was a gift for me.

I was looking for an affordable notebook Which has dedicate graphic card.
I am quiet happy with the quality of acer. The quality of acer is better than a few years ago.
It is powerful and very quiet notebook.
The best thing is it has two hard drive bay.
I add one SSD into the notebook which boot the system speed.

Bad point: the 6GB DDR3 is just DDR3 1333. not DDR3 1600.

I paid £100 more to get a Acer Aspire V3-771G with NVidia card, and I received a Acer Aspire V3-771 with an onboard card which is £100 cheaper. Maybe it's better that you also check your machine, before you begin to set up the system.

The machine itself looked great and Acer didn't pre-install to many OEM versions. The screen is great and excellent colour.

All in one a good machine, but the 2 stars are for Acer for pre-installing Windows system with only 1 partition C:\.

We never store our private data on C:\ in case of .... It doesn't matter if Windows 8 comes with a restore/reset feature, which allows to reset the system without entering the recovery disc and touching My Documents. Storing data in My Documents is something we know it's not going to work. It's like having a direct line for all kind of virus and so on. If I stored my data in a kind a personal "data" folder on C:\, it would be deleted when restoring Windows. This is a failure, Acer!
