Swift delivery in secure, original box. Tuning and initial setup took under 5 minutes. Picture is great, audio is great. The remote is really good and makes it easy to switch input and change audio/video settings on the fly with a preset switch button. Recommend turning the backlight brightness down from factory settings to prolong screen life.
One thing that did bug me a little was originally the subtitles were on by default and I couldn't get them off. Was my fault: In setup don't choose your language for the subtitles, change it to "Off". Obvious when you know.
But seriously, for £199.99 you get a 23" TV that supports 1080p input (which arguably you don't need with such a small screen but I'd rather have it than not) and looks and sounds great.
Another handy feature is that whatever input you're on if you key in a channel using the numbers it switches back to TV. There are 2 HDMI ports which is good as lots of similarly priced TVs only have 1. The TV also doubles as a monitor which works well as you might expect from Acer. Also has SCART, VGA, HD Component, S-Video, Headphone and traditional SCART component inputs.

In summary: You will seriously struggle to find a better TV than this for this price. Viewing angle and distance are great. Just buy it already!

Oh and on a personal note, if anyone knows the Universal Remote Codes for this TV could you please comment them? Cheers.

I bought this TV about a week ago now, and I am very impressed with it so far.

23-inch you might think is small considering how small 19-inch might be but I got a big shock when I saw how big it was.

At the back you and on the sides you have space for 2 HDMI cables, VGA cables, standard Component, AV cables, SCART and one of those slots for TV antenna's so you can tune into freeview TV.

In terms of the freeview TV, just to make it clear to those people who don't know, it dosen't tune automaticlly from the TV, you need a external antenna of some sort to plug into there so it can scan the channels for you.

Its works perfect on my PS3 in full 1080p resolution.

You can tweak the sound and display settings to your preference and it is very easy to do so because of the user friendly remote.

Sound is pretty good aswell and you can alter between your preference of treble or bass.

The only drawback I can think of this TV is it has no DVI slot, but remember this is a TV but at least it has a VGA slot.

For the price you definatly can't go wrong with this TV.

Acer 23inch TV 7 Oct 2010
I became attracted to the ACER label, due to a recommendation from close family in the USA. First impressions were the manufacturers specifications in description of the item offered for sale and at the price of a 23inch model. Well packed and easy to assemble it was positioned in the living room as a second TV. To set up and install the programmes took a fair amount of time but once the menu was activated it was soon sorting channel search and functional. Due to geographical location in the Northamptonshire uplands a four channel repeater transmitter is the only means of signal reception at the moment so Freeview is not readily available until digital is provided although the TV did attempt the search when on channel tune. The 23inch screen is adequately visible even from a vantage point 16feet away with clarity and when Digital is available next year,I look forward to enjoying the full potential from my impressive ACER.
