I needed a laptop for my study and seeing as that I am a student, I needed a good yet not to expensive laptop. I chose the Acer 7730ZG because of the screen size (I like to watch movies and not on a small screen), and the other specs told me this would be a good laptop. And it is. However, and here is the catch: Due to some nice design of Acer, the videocard is located DIRECTLY next to the power inlet. Even as I am writing this, my fan(s) are going nuts (I could almost bake an egg on my speakers because of the heat that is generated). This in term effects the laptop and your work. So, if you need a laptop to work on for a short amount of time and like to watch media on it for (again) a short amount of time, this is a great laptop. If you need it for more, get an Acer or any other laptop with a better internal design which does not heat up within 5 minutes.
