Product Description

Product Description

The Accuratus Upright Mouse 2 is designed so that your arm is straight and wrist is in a natural position, allowing very comfortable use when working on a computer, a great help for users with arm, wrist and shoulder problems. As more and more of us find ourselves glued to a desk for 8 hours or more each day, it's not surprising that an increasing number of us are showing symptoms of RSI (Repetitive Strain Injury) and aggravating hand and wrist pain such as Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, two disorders that can be severely aggravated by a poorly laid out work station and the type of mouse used. The Accuratus Upright Mouse can make dramatic improvements and ease painful or problematic symptoms in your hand, wrist, arm and shoulder. The mouse fits comfortably in your palm in an upright position and keeps the bones in your arm straight, eliminating the uncomfortable twisted position caused by standard mice. All the usual buttons are there, including a left/ right click, and a scroll wheel for easy navigation of the internet and all your documents. The Upright Mouse 2 offers a far sleeker and modern design compared to our original Upright Mouse.

1.0 out of 5 stars didn't last 2 weeks 21 Mar 2013

Nice feel to the mouse, enjoyed it whilst it lasted - unfortunatley that was less than 2 weeks! Roller button broken, cheap for a reason, not worth the risk of a cheap purchase in my opinion.

4.0 out of 5 stars Much better for constant and general use 14 Mar 2013
Verified Purchase
I just bought and am now using my fourth mouse of this type. It makes a day at the office much less taxing on wrist and arm. Fourth? Three in use and one died. I dropped it .
Why not five stars? I have only one criticism of these and that is; compared to a normal mouse these seem a little coarse on their movement. Great for general office work and whizzing round browser screens. For CAD or DTP work a normal type mouse is better. The comment over mouse moves also applies to the thumb (finger?) wheel. This moves through things very fast, with little effort compared to a normal mouse. All this makes for ease of use, but lacks fine control. If I could, easilly switch from coarse to fine movement, it would be five stars. Enough to say three others are in use in our office, after seeing mine. The office one has been in constant use for over five years!

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent for the price 21 Dec 2012

Received promptly. As described/pictured.
Mouse is very comfortable and works easily.

Only two slight issues:
1. Connecting cable is a little short.
2. Mouse is too small for my hands (i have big hands) for me to comfortably use this mouse. Most others should have no problems, though.

Very much worth the money.

3.0 out of 5 stars Sceptic Proved Wrong 4 Mar 2013
I had problems with overuse of the mouse and when told about this type of mouse by a colleague I was rather sceptical.

However after using this mouse now for several weeks I am a convert!
It is a real joy to use - it feels pleasant in the hand as it glides around my desk.

I cannot recommend it highly enough - it is not cheap, but it makes using a mouse pleasurable and that can't be bad!!

An update, after using this mouse for approaching a year it has begun to be very unpredictable in terms of clicks and sometimes registers a double click and sometimes doesn't register a click at all. Its being replaced a little earlier than I had anticipated!

4.0 out of 5 stars This is my second 23 Feb 2013

I purchased this item as a replacement for my original Accuratus Upright Mouse which I found very comfortable to use.My original still works but the small feet pads on the base of the mouse have worn away resulting in the eye getting blocked causing erractic operation so I have purchased a new one. The other thing I like about these Upright Mouse is the very affordable price.I would certainly reccomend to others looking for an Upright Mouse.

4.0 out of 5 stars Very good value 13 Dec 2012

Arrive on time, does the job properly, for a much better price than some premium items. Let us see how long it will last, but I had purchased an expensive Evoluent mouse which broke after one year, so I guess it won't be difficult to outperform. Once you try a vertical mouse, you will never go back to the horizontal ones.

2.0 out of 5 stars Comfortable but flawed 14 May 2013
Verified Purchase
This mouse has the right idea. It is comfortable to hold and navigate. The right and left buttons are positive and easy to click.
However, the scroll wheel is terrible. It frequently scrolls in the opposite direction to which you are turning the wheel.
This makes the product very irritating to use. I guess you get what you pay for!

4.0 out of 5 stars Pretty good.
This works decently well, at a good price. I regularly switch between left and right hands to use a mouse, so I wish there was a way to configure it for left hand use.
