Not that I have written many reviews but one I had to write was about this clock, before I bought it I had a read of only a short number of reviews but Jens review was the one that made me buy it. The clock does everything it says on the box, you simply put 3 AAA battery's into it and put it on your bedside cabinet and that's it!!! It reads on the instructions that it takes between 3-7 minutes for the clock to set it's self with the time date etc, well it took mine bang on 4 minutes. The alarm is perfect, not too loud and not at all quiet as mentioned in other reviews. Let me tell you this as well, the alarm mode can be set again to go off the following day simply by touching the alarm set button, there is No need to switch it off and back on again the following day! That's about it really not much else to say but I'm sure glad I bought it and strongly recommend this to anyone like me that works shifts, it's also a cute looking clock that go's really well on my bedside cabinet :-)

I bought to replace an acctim radio controlled one we have had for over 10 years. I was so pleased with the quality that i decided to purchase another acctim one..
It arrived really quickly and was so easy to set up you just put a battery in and wait ...thats it. It picked up the time date and temperature within 90 seconds. Its a great little clock and has the added bonus of a repeat alarm which means that once you have pressed the middle button to stop the alarm it will automatically set itself to go off each day at the same time so you will never forget to "set the alarm" The illuminating light function is good for when you want to see the time in the dark. You cant go wrong with this clock and i really cant understand how anyone can remark that you cant see it at certain angles i havent found a problem with this.

I bought this clock as R. Spence said it's alarm is 'polite' and only suitable for light sleepers - which is me! This alarm is just perfect. I really dislike being woken with a loud fire alarm type of noise - just makes me extra crotchety and stressed in the mornings. It has a gentle pip-pip-pip which graduates to a louder pipip-pipip, a louder pipipip-pipipipip etc which increases and lasts for approx 2 minutes. The first pips always wake me and sound like a little robin sitting on my bedside table - a most joyous way to awake. :)

It's really easy to use and the buttons are very intuitive and labeled well. I read the instructions once, but only as the Radio Control bit is a little tricky. It took several minutes in the garden to no avail, so I easily set the clock to manual (easy to do without instructions - press wave (R.C. on/off) and then time set, then up/down buttons, then time set). The instructions said the signal is stronger in the evening and the signal is strongest between 12-7am and the info sent in the 1st 7 minutes (weird!), so I waited until midnight, set the wave function going and placed it on my windowsill. When I returned in the next 10 minutes, it worked fine and I had a signal, so returned it to my bedside, where it still works fine. :)

The clock is a nice size and shape and a frosted silver plastic finish - the same clock is available in black Acctim Denio Black Radio Controlled LCD Alarm Clock . There is a big button on the top for easy access to the snooze/light function. To switch off the alarm until the next day is the big button in the middle of the right hand panel and to switch the alarm on/off completely is on the side.

I have bought (and returned) cheaper items (because the radio receiver is stone deaf) so this was my first purchase over a tenner and I am delighted with it.

The backlight is excellent.
The radio receiver is as sensitive as my other radio controlled clocks.
I read the manual as a source of "Chingish" humour and found nothing funny but some excellent web site sources for information about the radio service.

The alarm is a simple on/off switch, which is far better than a complicated sequence of button presses (like my old clock).

It is smaller than I was expecting and comes without batteries (3 x AAA cells) but I was buying a clock not the batteries.
Throw in the batteries and leave it alone. Job Done.
Even setting the alarm is intuitive.

Perversely, I cannot comment on the alarm tone as I have, to date, woken long before the alarm time.
Am I bothered ?

I ordered two of these. One works well, the other was missing a connection for the batteries and so was useless. This was returned.
The replacement arrived promptly but on this one the internal light didn't function. Again returned.
Both defective clocks had a 'QC 2 Passed' sticker on them - quality control from the Chinese manufacturer!?
It's a refund and a different product now.

A great little clock, just right for the bedside cabinet. Clear blue backlight for seeing time in the dark, and easy to use controls. Best of all it is always right!

Bought 6 months ago, very easy to set up. Works well, wakes me up and I'm quite a deep sleeper. Love the radio control set up and love the moon phase! Only snag is that the spring holding the first battery in place has broken. I'm hoping that this is a one off and not just poor design, so buying a replacement.
