Simply, this little lightweight alarm clock is very user friendly. It has a loud enough alarm for most sleepers (unless you are a heavy sleeper)but does not jar the way some do, the ones that shock you out of sleep with an annoying high-pitched attack on your nerves (and dreams).
Turning off the alarm is simply a matter of touching the screen - which will light up with a soft blue glow when touched, for about 2-3 seconds. Programming the alarm is very easy - press the alarm set icon, and this takes you to the alarm set screen where it is just a matter of pressing either the + or - icons to accurately set the time you want to be awakened. If you keep your finger pressed down on the + or - then after about 6 seconds the numerals will cycle very quickly through the hours, making setting the time quick and easy. When set you return to the time screen once more and your alarm time is displayed in the upper right corner, along with the word "on". Pressing this upper corner will turn the alarm on or off as you wish.
When I first set the alarm I had no idea that there is a special part of the touchscreen that, if pressed, makes the alarm display disappear and replaces it with the temperature (without altering the alarm setting). Pressing this area twice returns the upper corner display to the alarm once more. The area is immediately to the left of the main time.
I recommend this clock especially as it is very battery-friendly.
