This Acctim clock has Acctim's Smartlite technology and will light at night so you can see the time without having to press any buttons. The reverse style "dot matrix" display gives a retro feel but is clear and easy to see. Crescendo alarm and snooze feature. Smartlite feature can be turned on or off.

I regularly wake in the middle of the night and like to know the time and now I don't have to put my alarm clock's light on to see the time, thereby waking my wife. The green numerals are easily seen by someone who needs glasses to read but they are not so bright as to keep you awake. And the alarm itself is a good, penetrating noise.

At last I can see the time in the dark without wearing my glasses. This little metallic grey clock sits with the time perfectly in view, across from my bed and is fairly easy to set up, once you figure out the diagrams. It takes 2AA batteries (not included) and the dotty numerals are displayed in two light settings with one much brighter during the night-time hours, making it easier to read, but you don't have to use this setting.I've also rid myself of the sound of a ticking clock which is ideal. The alarm sounds is small pips, enough to wake you without giving you a heart attack. During the day the numerals aren't so clear but you can press the large button on the top to illuminate the whole face. It's battery only, no mains, but very portable and easy to use.

I wanted a clock that I could read during the night without moving around fiddling with buttons. This fits the bill. It turns the night light on at 8pm and off at 8am thus saving battery. I could have it on all the time but I don't use this setting. Alarm is fine and the snooze button is handy. Instructions are a little unclear but trial and error soon sorts it out. It is not clearly readable during the daylight hours unless you press the top, but I don't use it then. Excellent delivery. Have just bought another for a family member.
