This book is absolutley awful for accounting!The author looks at it from a far too academic approach, he probably has never been a practising accountant!

This appears to be a book aimed at the postgraduate academic research student. It is looking at Accounting as an academic subject for study. All very interesting, but you do have to work through the book to find what you are looking for! I cannot argue with the book's content, simply the style of writing, layout, and apparent lack of appeal to a wider readership outside a university setting, makes me feel I made the wrong choice in buying this book! However, the book does come highly recommended by professional accounting bodies and as such should not be dismissed. Perhaps I will change my mind when I re-read the book at a more advanced stage in my studies!
