I purchased this item secondhand and hence gain considerably over its new price. I purchased this book sight unseen thinking it would probably cover the sub topics I was primarily interested in. When the book arrived it was physically much larger than I had expected and its content far deeper and more comprehensive than I had expected. These are not necessarily criticisms unless one wants to put this book on a narrow bookshelf where its height would pose something of a problem. It is a BIG book and I now realise I had a better bargain than I had imagined. Furthermore, I would hardly describe the content as an introduction to accounting because the scope and breadth of the subject and sub topics far exceed my expectations. I doubt very much I would have purchased this book at its published (new) price but as a secondhand purchase it is simply marvellous.

I'm currently using this textbook alongside an Introduction to Accounting open unit at university. It explains ideas in a very clear and easy manner, and every new concept is illustrated with an example. A highly recommended purchase.
