I bought this book after a suggestion of my MBA accounting professor. This book is indeed great as an introvuctory text. Coming from an engineering background I assume there are more advanced and spesialized texts out there however if you are undertaking an MBA (where things tend to stay a more generic level compared, say, to a MSc in Accounting) or you just want to get a good idea about both Financial and Managerial Accounting I couldn't think of a better point. Nice simple and understandable writing accompanied by examples that makes concepts of accounting much easier to understand on a practical level. Coming from someone with rather limited accounting experience (but considerable studying time on his shoulders) this is an excellent book!
