It is thorough in its aims. Scholarly far beyond my education, but pared down to suit a person who would like to understand what Luke was trying to do in his arrangement and choice of materials. Instead of a series of vignettes he presents it a comprehensive whole. That is a challenge because you have to get familiar with the whole book and its movements. I found the exposition of one story so intriguing that I forget the wider viewpoint. So for any like me who forgets things you have to keep going back over it. It is a book to be studied, not skimmed, and should not be taken like a series of photo shoots. I would recommend it highly.
