Product Description

Review

'According to Arnold is as ingenious and learned as you'd expect of Giles Milton - better known as a somewhat maverick historian - and it has both that excellent big idea of the regal conspiracy at its heart and a superbly lurking theme about grass - is - greener male sexual yearning waiting in the wings. It's also well written with a very readable light tone and many an inventive image.' --Daily Mail

'An adorably eccentric story full of very English humour.'
--Lancashire Evening Post

'A highly entertaining fantasy, Milton's novel is perfect for anyone obsessed with conspiracy theories.'
-- Mail on Sunday, Anthony Gardner

By T-bone
Format:Paperback
This is a strange novel, written as series of cassette recordings by Arnold, who has left his wife to move to a remote island on the other side of the world, and a journalist who met Arnold before he left and who is in contact with Arnolds friend who is the recipeint of the tapes.

Arnold, who is an expert on mushrooms, and is incredibly passionate about them, has inadvertantly stumbled upon a massive international conspiracy and as a result finds himself the king of a remote island, married to an exotic beauty who is the queen. However things are not as they seem and they are in peril.

This novel was not quite like anything else I have read. The style is very easy to read and it is easy to get sucked into this book for hours at a time.

It was bizzare, fun, quirky and well worth a read!
