Though maybe not as well known as Mario or Sonic, Bub and Bob have nevertheless been around for many years. First appearing in the arcade classic Bubble Bobble, they now make an appearance in traditional puzzle fashion in Bust-a-Move 4.
The classic gameplay style is still intact, keeping the challenging and addictive elements that make you return, hoping you can burst an ever-larger number of bubbles. Not unlike Tetris in theme and style (you have to group bubbles of the same colour together to get them to burst and give you points) it is different enough to attract a similar gamer looking for a new challenge. Veterans of the Bust-a-Move series will not find vast changes to the original.
Quite simply, this is one of the best puzzle games around and with an ELSPA minimum age of three, it is one the whole family can enjoy together. --Robert Hyde
Product Description
Bust-A-Move 4 is an instalment in the ongoing puzzle series that combines the matching fun of Tetris with the elimination action of Breakout.
The object of the game is simple: coloured bubbles form stalactite-like clusters from the top of the game area. Aim and shoot bubbles at the clusters so that when three like-coloured bubbles link together, they pop and any bubbles suspended below them fall. By eliminating all the bubbles, you advance to the next round.
The game is made all the more challenging by a game clock that advances the clusters downward and special bubbles that either help pop or protect bubbles.
This version of Bust-A-Move 4 features high-resolution graphics, single-player and head-to-head challenge play, and an edit mode that allows players to design their own puzzles.

(Taps mic) Hi, is this on?... Bust a move 4 is a really great game. It is addictive and you'll never be able to stop playing. There are so many ways of playing that there is always something new to try. And don't get me started about the 2-player mode... The characters are cute and there are 6 'hidden' ones, the backgrounds are like picture postcards and the music is very addictive if a little repetitive. Buy this game if you want a game that will get the old grey matter working a bit, last a long time, make for fun party games and generally entertain you. Wait a sec, all this for only £8.99? You must be kidding me. But no, its true, all this great fun for less than a tenner BUY IT. NOW.

this game is impossible to hate, it is by far the most addictive game i have ever played and i challenge anyone to beat me at it! For this price i suggest you buy it now

One of the best games of its type i have played on the ps1. i also find the story mode and puzzle mode very enjoyable that test my skills. couple of years after this games release i still play it. this game is great fun for anyone. i get my family to have a go at the custom puzzles i have made which i made a bit to hard for them. buy this game it is a must have.
