For many people, finding a decent grammar book can be a bit of a hard job. Many of them are either too confusing and with far too much jargon, and others aren't detailed enough. "Accion gramatica" provides a grammar text midway between the two.

The contents of the book are very well organised and range from the simple things like nouns to the more complicated, such as the various subjunctives. Each grammatical point is thoroughly (yet not overwhelmingly) explained for the reader, along with examples and then exercises at the end of each chapter to consolidate your knowledge. There is even a section at the beginning explaining the meanings of various grammatical terminology (such as subject, adverb, passive, etc) and also sections on Spanish spelling and accentuation (which not all grammar books have).

On the whole, this book really is an essential grammar guide for any Spanish student. I bought it when I was studying at GCSE level, and it still served me well through my A Level. I would also recommend it for anyone studying Spanish in higher education. It is, without doubt, the best Spanish grammar book on the market.

This has been really useful, I'm enjoying using it. While it deals with some complex issues, such as the very many different uses of the subjunctive, it breaks things down into easy chunks. This means that you can complete an exercise in a half-hour, which if you are otherwise busy is helpful. Thoroughly recommended, I guess it would be about A-level standard, although I'm using it as self-study independent of the UK examination system.
