Although I didn't realise it at the time I ordered this book, it is really aimed at exam course work and in that sense, is well written and presented. Good attention to detail but not too much, it covers the topic well, factual rather than passionate which is no bad thing. For me, it was a good re-entry point to an interesting period of British history and formed a good basis for more reading of other sources.
