Good points

- short so it can fit in your bag
- still heavy enough to get a good tendon reflex
- unscrewable parts to test sharp and light touch sensation

Bad points: quality of build

- the head is screwed onto a stalk which is connected to the main handle. Where the stalk connects to the main handle is a little bit unstable and cannot be tightened
- a metal part on the filament for light touch is so loose it falls over the filament whilst in use, and as a consequence whilst the filament is stored in the hammer, the hammer rattles! very annoying!

Overall a good tendon hammer hampered by poor quality parts

A low quality and poorly engineered piece of equipment, but carries just about enough weight to make it usable.

The picture gives the impression that, when extended, the neck is about equal again to the length of the handle, which is not the case. When retracted, the item is 13cm long; unscrewing the head allows you to pull the neck out of the handle by an additional 5cm, giving an overall length of 18cm. I would have preferred an extra 2cm minimum.

Locking the extended neck into position is hit and miss and highlights the low quality engineering of the threads. The 'sharp' sensation tool is fine, but the 'light touch' brush is unusable on mine; the bristles are damaged, pointing out in every direction, because the metal collar which was supposed to protect them from that sort of damage does not stay in place (hence the 'rattling' another reviewer has mentioned). In any event, my opinion is that the bristles are too short and stiff to be used for light touch sensitivity.

The saving grace for this item is that the broad and narrow rubber pads are the right density, the sharp sensation tool is fit for purpose and the weight is sufficient. The best aspect is the extendable design, because it makes it genuinely easy to store and carry.

Based on price, portability and the ability to elicit tendon reflexes, it can be recommended.

I ordered two, one for home and one for work.
they came on time, packed well and work well,
all the little extra parts fitted well and i have used it
every day at work.
a good safe buy, works well and is the right size, better than
the over size hammers that stick out your bags or spike you.
i would recommend to all.
thanks

Not top quality but does what it is supposed to. Good inclusion of brush and pin. Not as expensive as I was expecting.
