Intimate, Immediate and Exciting 13 April 2011

Spanning 20 years, 'Access All Areas' is everything that Sara Wheeler fans have come to love. A rare combination of rigorous research and keen academic eye with an intimate and immediate voice. If you've read any of her previous books, you're in for a treat, as this gives even more access - as the title might suggest - to the woman who is not just a writer, but an explorer. What is perhaps most amazing is what Wheeler has done in those 20 years. Her previous books are so singular in their focus that it's easy to forget just how many dark corners of the globe Wheeler has trekked to. 'Access All Areas' is a hugely enjoyable journey with one of the modern world's great adventurers. Highly recommended.
