I love all types of music and easily jump from style to style. One of my favorites is 1940s music, and who can think about the 1940s and not think about the Andrews Sisters? I could see that this CD was a veritable goldmine of their music, and I could not wait to get it.
The CD starts out great, with the girls doing their close harmony magic. However, as the album continued, I noticed a scritch-scratching noise that began to accompany the music. The louder the music, the louder the scritch-scratching. I took the CD out, and tried it in a different CD player, and got the same thing!
Like I said, it increases as the CD plays, suggesting to me that there was something wrong with the way the CD was made. I guess that the tracks must be more and more out of true as the reader moves along the CD.
Anyway, the upshot is that this potentially great CD was ruined for me. Yes, I can listen to it, and try to pretend that it's an old vinyl album, but why should I have to? I'm terribly disappointed with the CD - it could have been great, it should have been great, but whoever made it screwed up. Let the buyer beware!
