Product Description

Whether you're a hardcore adventure hiker, an avid runner, or simply looking to count your doctor's recommended 10k steps a day, an Accelerator Series watch fits the bill. Advanced accelerometer technology provides highly accurate readings of a user's speed, distance, and caloric expenditure via a simple wrist watch sensor, eliminating the need for funny looking foot pods or belt clips. Accelerometer technology is 95+% accurate, and much more dependable than traditional pendulum based pedometers. GPS-based running products are very expensive, complicated, and aren't reliable for indoor training or under heavy tree cover. The Accelerator Series is the perfect combination of accurate readings, simplicity of use, and stylish design. Water resistant. Includes chest strap to monitor heart rate.

3.0 out of 5 stars Potentially a good product.. 23 Oct 2013
By pac510
With a big improvement in the design of the menu to make it intuitive to use, and the addition of a heart rate monitor within the watch or strap, instead of on a chest band, this would be a fine product. As it stands it is too fiddly and confusing to use. So my brother, for whom I had brought it, said he wouldn't use it and asked me to send it back.

4.0 out of 5 stars Pedometer/Distance and Heart Rate Watch on the Cheap 17 Aug 2011
By NWL - Published on Amazon.com
So this watch tracks Distance, Steps, Calories, and Heart Rate (Min, Max, Ave) all on your wrist and the included heart rate chest strap (user battery replaceable by the way, other companies usually have you buy a new sensor)

-Tracks Distance and Heart Rate (can work all day, or multiple sessions) in watch form and records all data into watch memory
-Uses accelerometer to track distance and speed, so no reliance on GPS (which won't last all day, and won't work indoors)
-Pedometer automatically adjusts to running and walking
-Heart Rate monitor that alerts you when you're above or below a range of heart rates, via chest strap
-More accurate able to do continuous Heart Rate tracking as compared to strapless Heart Rate Monitor watches.
-Cheaper than most watches that only do Heart Rate Monitor or Pedometer

-Error rate for distance (as compared to my GPS) and steps, is roughly 5%, which is stated in the manual, just keep that in mind when using
-I have skinny wrists, so takes up some real estate on my wrist, but still able to button my sleeve and wear it in work clothes for all day health stats.

Did a lot of research before pulling the trigger, so definitely a great buy for tracking all day (or by session) distance, speed, steps, and heart rate.

I would recommend this.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Watch 10 Jun 2009
By bigpunisher - Published on Amazon.com
This watch works great if you know how to use it. It has a lot of functions on it that takes a while to figure out how to use but if you read the instruction book its no problem. The heart rate strap is better on this product than most because it allows you to change the batteries in them when it dies. I know some of the polar heart rate monitors that I used in the past didn't have a place to change the battery and you had to just buy a new heart rate monitor for the watch when it died.

4.0 out of 5 stars very capable, great price 15 Dec 2011

So this is a really great item especially for the price, it is a bit complicated with its sub menus but a little use alliveates that, i like that is is VERY customizable to the user with age, weight, run and walk stride settings, my only issue is that the band could use to be a bit more flexable. but all in all i love it, we purchased one for me and the womens for my wife.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent 1 Nov 2011

Works great after a year or so of weekly use. Stride length can be entered in inches only, no decimals -- but if you need precision, go with the costlier GPS models.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good for the price 4 Sep 2009
By Alvaro Munoz - Published on Amazon.com

So far it has been a good sports watch, however, setting up the personal profile was a pain, very complicated procedure. If you go at a low pace the distance will be calculated with an excellent accuracy, however, when you increase the speed the distance is then underestimated. Monitoring of the heart rate is good as you can see the time spent on each zone. Saving workouts is easy after some time... it's good for what I paid.
