This book has become a standard. I read it first in 1995 and give it to my teaching students as the best and simplest introductory overview to Accelerated Learning. The NLP books are all very remote from the classroom. What his books do in a way that no others do is give you the model, the theory and the practice. Guy Claxton's books are good but he doesn't read as though he's ever been in a classroom.

Having attended one of Alistair Smith's training courses, I was inspired to buy both this book and 'Accelerated Learning in Practice'. I found that these are the most practical books to read if you are keen to implement Accelerated Learning techniques in your classroom.

This is the most useful bit of writing I've read on accelerated learning. I knew most of this already, but when I put it into the hands of my colleagues at work they rave about it. He is good on self esteem and on what he calls BASIS.
